Xeikon technology helps Dubai customer scoop FINAT award
Xeikon customer, Kimoha Entrepreneurs, from Dubai, has won the new ‘Digital printing technology’ award at the 35th FINAT Label Award Competition.
Kimoha has more than 300 employees and it specialises in self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging materials for numerous industries including cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food.
The company won the award thanks to the print quality it was able to achieve with its Xeikon 3300 digital label press with a DCoat 330 finishing unit in producing its project, ‘Ajmal Exclusive Room Freshener.’ The label printed on a sliver PP substrate incorporated a subtle blue arc to break up the background colours of red and gold. It also features a halftone screen that slightly subdues the brightness of the gold background. This label is designed to be used in quality surroundings.
“To win an award is just one milestone and highlight in our daily business,” said Vinesh Bhimani, managing director of Kimoha. “Awards are motivators for us to improve even further and set higher quality goals for our organisation. And they are a valuable marketing tool as well.”
Kimoha is committed to continually pushing production boundaries, an effort in which it is aided by Xeikon technology. Bhimani added: “We believe that we invested in the right technology when we chose Xeikon, and our Xeikon press and the results we are able to achieve support our desire to increase our growth in the digital label market. The FINAT award was icing on the cake.”
The 35th FINAT Label Award Competition attracted 260 award entries from 45 companies representing 25 countries. The judging panel was chaired by industry expert Tony White, who was supported by regulars Steve Wood (UK), Murat Sipahioglu (Turkey), Rik Olthof (design expert from Cartils Branding & Packaging design agency in the Netherlands) and Prof. Dr. Efe Gencoglu (vice manager of Marmara University, Turkey and new chairman of the Turkish Label Competition).
