The Label Makers creates sophisticated look for Royal Mash Vintage Vodka

Label manufacturer, The Label Makers has recently produced a stylish look for award-winning, vintage vodka, Royal Mash.

Produced using the world’s finest potatoes from Jersey and crafted in bespoke 200-litre copper stills, Royal Mash Vintage Vodka was created by entrepreneurs Peter Le Fol du Taillis and Rachel de Caen. Since its release in 2020, Royal Mash has collected an impressive 24 awards and accolades to-date.

In working with the brand owners, The Label Makers set out to create a quality, artisan label that evokes a superior presence and character. With label design by Kirsty Holton at Manchester-based Sip Studio, the central theme of the label is based on the Royal Mash emblem – the crest of the Le Fol family who were ennobled by Henry IV in 1594 – which is reproduced in royal blue hot foil and also as an enlarged embossed image. When the larger image is seen under UV bar lighting, it brightly fluoresces to draw attention to the brand even under subdued lighting.

The labels were digitally printed at 1200dpi, creating the fine detail required and using a water resistant felt marked FSC accredited paper, thereby allowing for the bottle to be served chilled or on ice. The labels were produced in 5cl, 20cl and 70/75cl for both the UK and export markets.

Commenting on the finished product, Ms de Caen said: “We absolutely love the labels. This is the first time that we have worked with The Label Makers following a glowing recommendation. We adore what Kevin and the team do. They were professional and flexible in their dealings with us, taking time to fully explain the label production process. We will be using them for every vintage from now on!”

The Label Makers’ Kevin Lyons added: “We were delighted to work with Rachel to produce the labels for her premium vodka brand. Our highly skilled team has a wealth of experience in the premium drinks market and they used this knowledge to ensure that her expectations were fully met. The finished product looks stunning.”
