Swanline Paper & Board unveils products at Sign & Digital UK 2017
Sign & Digital UK 2017 delivered for Swanline Paper & Board, generating substantial interest and business leads for its ground-breaking new solutions.
Set within the confines of a medieval castle, SPB launched four new products on their stand at the exhibition, including Cygnus Outdoor Display, Cygnus Gecko, PankaLux and PankaBrite.
Ross Griffin, managing director at SPB, said: “The exhibition provided the perfect opportunity to unveil our latest products to the market and the response was fantastic. We were able to demonstrate SPB’s capabilities in materials as well as Swanline Print’s skills in constructional design and graphics. And visitors were able to see at first hand the innovation which had gone into each new product’s development. Griffin continued, “There was significant interest from some big players in the market which has generated good leads that we hope can be turned into sales.”
SPB unveiled its Cygnus Outdoor Display to the industry at the show: a world-leading environmentally friendly display board, resistant to moisture, making it an ideal solution for all exterior signage applications. Its environmental credentials and unique, robust fibre construction enable it to be a viable alternative to plastic and PE-coated outdoor products. It is also ideal for internal use where moisture or humidity is an issue.
Griffin said: “Cygnus Outdoor Display is a pioneering development in outdoor signage that delivers on quality, cost and the environment. This is an incredibly exciting innovation for the industry as it takes outdoor signage to another level, combining multiple benefits that will have a significant positive impact for our customers.”
SPB aims to revolutionise thinking around self-adhesive vinyl products in the sign and display market with the launch of Cygnus Gecko. The high quality 150 micron vinyl is available in matt white or chalkboard finish and has been designed to be easily removed and re-applied numerous times without affecting the adhesive performance.
For the packaging industry, SPB is also offering two new folding boxboards which were unveiled at Sign & Digital UK 2017. PankaLux is a white-backed folding boxboard for luxury packaging. It offers outstanding visual properties and superior packaging performance and is ideal for advanced print applications such as foil lamination and high quality end-use applications. Meanwhile, PankaBrite is a folding boxboard designed for the food packaging sector. It has a unique substance range from 460 microns through to 1,030 microns and offers excellent rigidity, purity and visual characteristics – all important features for food packaging.
Chris Bosworth, sales director at SPB, said: “PankaLux and PankaBrite are fantastic additions to our portfolio, bringing a touch of luxury and practicality to their relevant markets.
“The exhibition provided a perfect opportunity to meet existing and potential new customers face-to-face, which always opens the door to great discussions about their needs and requirements, products and the industry in general.”
Everything visitors saw on the medieval-themed stand was manufactured from corrugated board or other SPB products and was graphically designed to bring it to life.
