SAM North America holds open house
SAM North America is holding an open house event 9-11 April for customers to view its new 10,000 square foot (930m) facility in Phoenix, New York
The new location will supply sales, customer service, project management, process support and spare parts to its growing customer base in the extrusion, solution coating, and gravure printing industries, further supporting the activities of SAM’s worldwide headquarters in Seoul, Korea.
In addition to a sales and operations office, the Extrusion Technology Center will be home to a new pilot extrusion line which went into operation end of 2013. The pilot extrusion machine is capable of producing extrusion coating on film, foil and paper board and will produce flat cast film and embossed cast film. In addition to SAM’s use of the line for new technology development it will be available to customers for product development, resin and chemical testing. Features include:

The open house will allow customers and suppliers to visit the new Extrusion Technology Center to better understand the center’s capabilities of extrusion coating on film, foil, paper and paperboard in addition to flat cast film and embossed cast film.
SAM plans to run an extrusion laminated product structure demonstrating the full capabilities of the line, corona treatment, chemical priming and co-extrusion.
