RDM Test Equipment hosts technical learnshop for carton industry

RDM Test Equipment is hosting a technical learnshop on 12 June 2014 in conjunction with UK and International speakers. It will focus on corrugated and carton board test and measurement.
The learnshop is aimed at carton and corrugated users and producers looking for new ways to measure and control the mechanical properties of manufactured materials and improve packing performance.
Speakers from Smithers Pira (UK), Korutest (New Zealand), Langen Group (Netherlands) and Cerulean Instrumentation (UK) will cover recent developments in carton testing and measurement. Subjects include improving carton packing speeds, identifying inconsistencies across multiple sites and a technique for measuring the manufactured quality of corrugated board.
A wide variety of test equipment will be available at the event and attendees are encouraged to bring their samples for testing.
The event will be held at Cerulean’s head office and laboratories in Milton Keynes and is free of charge.
“We are working daily with users and manufacturers of cartons and instrumentation suppliers, all with experienced technical experts,” says RDM director Phil Neal. “They share many of the same challenges and issues so it makes sense to bring them together for this unique workshop and share the knowledge with the wider industry”
