Qualters becomes CEO of Tekni-Plex healthcare division

Tekni-Plex has named Chris Qualters as chief executive of the company’s Healthcare division.

Mr Qualters joined Tekni-Plex in November as president of Tekni-Plex Medical, responsible for all aspects of the company’s global medical device business. He was tasked with designing and implementing a comprehensive business strategy to bolster Tekni’s position as a key solutions partner to medical device organizations.

His new responsibilities have been expanded to include all Tekni-Plex businesses related to healthcare, encompassing product solutions for patient care including medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery and sterilisable materials.

“With over 31 years of experience in engineered solution products, Chris is a proven high-energy leader adept at building strong teams focused on achieving results within a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement,” said Brenda Chamulak, Tekni-Plex president and chief executive. “He believes in maximising collaboration to leverage the skillsets of his entire team to drive optimum results for the organization.”

Mr Qualters most recently served as Executive Vice President of Life Sciences at NN, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his BSME in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell, in addition to an MBA from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
