Polytype Converting set for growth with new shareholders

Following the takeover of Polytype Converting by Jagenberg AG in December 2016, the reorganisation and strengthening of the converting activities in Hamburg and Fribourg (Switzerland) is continuing apace.
After being granted permission by the competition authorities on 14 February 2017, Olbrich GmbH (Bocholt) has integrated its Coating Technology Hamburg (CTH) site into Polytype Converting GmbH. The resulting joint venture means that Polytype Converting now with Olbrich GmbH and Jagenberg AG has two strong and internationally-established shareholders that are pursuing a sustainable growth strategy.
The converting company is consequently now a world leader able to supply the latest coating technology at an excellent price/performance ratio together with a comprehensive range of services. Polytype Converting GmbH (Hamburg) and Polytype Converting AG (Fribourg) have access to the entire expertise of Polytype, Pagendarm and Olbrich CTH, and are therefore unique in terms of the offered product range.
Polytype Converting is backed up by Group companies of Olbrich GmbH and Jagenberg AG. This means it has access to technical services and the manufacturing capacity of Olbrich GmbH in particular. Lebbing engineering & consulting GmbH, a subsidiary of Jagenberg AG, will ensure that the machinery and equipment manufactured by Polytype Converting is equipped with the latest drive and automation technology. Jagenberg’s subsidiary in India, Kusters Calico Machinery Pvt. Ltd., also offers additional strategic potential.
