Other Sensors for Tension Measurement from TTS Systems
TTS has been best known for manufacturing strain gauge loadcells used for tension measurement and control for over 20 years. But now they are widening their product range to offer “Other Sensors” to help with tension control on automated machinery.
Ultrasonic Sensors for direct measurement of roll diameter for unwind and rewind applications. Using a narrow beam sensor with two measurement range options – 0.12 to 1.2m or 0.2 to 2.0m, mounted in a M18 threaded body for easy installation.
Laser Sensors for displacement measurement up to 5m, used where the target reel may only be 5mm wide or a non woven material.
Dancer Arm Potentiometer, using a specially designed pot with a conductive plastic track for long life and an active measurement angle of only 90 degrees to achieve good repeatable readings. The unique mechanical design uses a hollow shaft, to allow for direct mounting onto the machine.
Dancer Arm Tilt Angle, using the latest non-contact sensing technology, you can measure the angle of the dancer with no wearing parts, therefore the same measurement today as in the future.
Dancer Arm Limit, this inductive proximity sensor supplied in a M12 threaded body package, also with an analogue output to give a little bit more finesse to your machinery control.
And finally, Tension Loadcells …. offering measurement ranges from 10N up to 25,000N, in cartridge, flatbed and custom designs, all manufactured in the UK. We understand tension measurement loadcells and that a standard product may not always meet your exact application requirements.
