New products unveiled at interpack

There were 170,500 visitors from 168 countries, and more than 2,760 exhibitors from the packaging process industry at the interpack show. This made it an excellent meeting point for Comexi, enabling interaction with clients and collaborators, both present and future.

“It has been a really successful trade fair. We received lots of top-quality visits from all around the world, specifically from different European countries, such as Russia, South-East Asia and South America,” said Comexi’s marketing director, David Centelles.

“We’re glad about the level of interest that our innovations provoked among the market. We have made lots of new contacts and many opportunities have been detected in all of Comexi’s technological lines,” added Centelles.

The technology that produced interest among the visitors included Comexi’s newest flexographic presses such as Comexi F2 ML, its offset technology, the holographic applications provided by Comexi Futura laminator and its laser technology. Solvent-less lamination samples, laser samples and flexo printed reels with holographic applications, provided by its Russian collaborator Uniflex, were also widely demanded.

“As a specialist in machinery for the flexible packaging industry, interpack is one of the most important international trade fairs, and this year, we demonstrated how we can help converters to improve their efficiency and quality,” explained Centelles.

Comexi launched its latest development in its slitting line at interpack, the new Comexi S1 MS, designed for big outputs reels. This machine is ideal for jobs that require working with nonstretchable materials at high speeds. This machine also satisfies two market trends: a need to work with more complex material structures and a need to optimise production using input reels with larger diameters.

Several customers also asked for information about laminating and coating solutions such as Comexi ML1 and Comexi SL2. As one of the leading manufacturers, the group also has water-based laminators such as Comexi L20000 that has a reduced environmental impact.

“Over these past 60 years, Comexi has been a initiator of new trends and solutions for the printing and converting flexible packaging industry. The aim of developing solutions has lead us to be one of the main suppliers to the industry, but, most importantly, a partner that works side by side with our customers,” concluded, Jeroen van der Meer, Comexi’s CEO.
