MPS at Labelexpo Europe 2015

MPS at Labelexpo EuropeMPS announces a successful Labelexpo Europe event with the debut showing of an extended new product range, and the first sale of its new hybrid EF SYMJET flexo/digital press launched in cooperation with proven technology partner Domino.

Partnerships with industry-leading brands to develop several new technology solutions were also showcased at the exhibition, in addition to MPS support of the on-site Label Academy Masterclasses and participation in the successful Linerless Trail.

With the message ‘Operator focused, results driven’ that was clearly communicated throughout the stand, MPS presented an extended product portfolio at the show with live press demonstrations highly attended by enthusiastic show visitors. The next generation EF Neo press was unveiled with enhanced new software with close loop print pressure setting solutions, an improved operator interface, and a more user-friendly functionality that simplifies press navigation and control.

The EB state-of-the-art narrow web label press was also on the stand and ran live demonstrations upon request.

In partnership with Domino, MPS also showed its EF SYMJET press, which combines the companies’ leading digital and flexo printing technologies. The Domino digital unit uses Kyocera print heads to print a resolution of 600×600 dpi, with up to six colours and opaque white. With a 340mm web width on the Domino printer and wider web width of 430mm on the MPS press, this allows converters to run more labels across when running in pure flexo mode, and at a higher speed.

MPS was the first narrow web press manufacturer at Labelexpo Europe to show the new hybrid GEW LED UV system (ArcLED) in combination with low migration inks, integrated on the next generation EF Neo press.

MPS was also a sponsor of the Label Academy, which held Masterclasses on-site during Labelexpo Europe, with Hans Poortinga of MPS presenting during the ‎Masterclass of conventional printing.

Aakon Schüssel, MPS sales and marketing director, commented: “With its large and broad attendance of narrow web printers and converters, Labelexpo Europe gave MPS an ideal opportunity to debut our new highly automated EF Neo flexo press and the SYMJET digital/flexo press with an integrated Domino digital N610i inkjet printer. In addition to numerous orders from existing and new customers, and an unprecedented number of visitors from all over the world, we celebrated on our stand the first order for the SYMJET digital/flexo press.”

Live demonstrations of the presented EF SYMJET, EF Neo and EB presses at Labelexpo Europe are also available in the new MPS technology and expertise centre at MPS headquarters in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
