Martin Automatic expands business in Asia
The All in Print China expo offered Martin Automatic an opportunity to demonstrate its technology in partnership with Taiyo Kikai whose CI letterpress machine on show was fitted with a Martin MBSC butt splicer and STR turret rewind. Martin also supplied an MBS butt splicer and LRD transfer rewind on a new Taiyo offset press.
Success in Asia continues with the shipment of an MBSC automatic butt splicer and STR transfer rewinder to Pemara Labels Malaysia. The equipment will provide non-stop operation of a Gallus EM 340S press printing opaque and clear-on-clear PS label stock. The splicer is equipped as a dual unwinder which enables Pemara to unwind two rolls of liner and face stock simultaneously with automatic tension control over both webs. Installations on Gallus presses in Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne have Martin Automatic roll changing systems in each of its label production facilities.
