London’s only packaging show returns

Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London 2015Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London 2016 returns to the city’s iconic Olympia, for the seventh edition of the show. The two-day event, which takes place on September 14-15, is the capital’s only packaging show and the UK’s only event for branded, inspirational and luxury packaging, attracting over 4,000 business professionals, year on year.

Gerry Sherwood, event director for the Easyfairs’ Packaging Portfolio, commented: “Each year we strive to improve the show, keeping it at the forefront of the latest packaging trends and movements. With this in mind, we have set up our own Ambassadors Group, which features leading names from some of the biggest brands and retailers across the UK. The idea behind this focus group is to hear what issues the industry is facing and what we can expect over the next 12 months, which will then be reflected throughout the show. We have always listened to our audience, but this Ambassadors Group takes it one stage further, ensuring we are at the very cutting edge of all things packaging, and allowing our visitors the most rounded and innovative show possible.

“From our first Ambassadors meeting, held at the Waldorf Hilton in April, we discovered that inclusivity, intelligent packaging, MOQs, flexible manufacturers, debunking circular economy myths, branding and design are the burning industry issues that need to be addressed. The information gathered will now be recycled back into the show, through new suppliers, innovative technologies, cutting-edge show features and improved networking abilities, reaffirming the shows position as the must attend show of the year. We have some really exciting things in the pipeline for 2016, so stay tuned and mark the dates in your diary now!”

Top industry suppliers, such as Schur Star Systems, James Cropper, MW Luxury Packaging, Winter & Company, Aegg, Cole Fabrics, Procos, M&H Plastics and Alexir Packaging will be at the event, showcasing the latest in luxury, branded and inspirational packaging. The packaging professionals in attendance will also be able to attend a series of highly-practical Learnshops seminars, take part in some interactive debates and experience a series of new show features.

Launching at this year’s show will be a brand new free-to-attend conference, run in partnership with a major international name, dedicated to the package design industry. By popular demand, The Great Innovation Debate, Starpack Awards and The Innovation Wall will all be returning. Visitors will also be able to get one-to-one personalised advice on any aspect of their packaging from expert professionals at the Packaging Consultancy Clinic.

The show will also boast an array of free-to-attend Learnshops, spanning the entire packaging market, delivered by a who’s who of international industry experts. Last year this included Müller, Webb deVlam London, Marks & Spencer, Liberty, and Brand on Shelf, to name just a few.
