Kongskilde positioned for expansion in new location

New facility has 28,000-square-foot warehouse and office with training centre
Kongskilde Industries, which recently operated out of a plant in nearby Hudson, has relocated to a new location at 1802 Industrial Park Drive, Unit A, in Normal. The company will continue to market its pneumatic product lines for the plastic, paper, packaging and grain industries. “We appreciate the opportunity to continue serving our customers from this outstanding new location,” Travis Thornton, interim president of Kongskilde North America, said. “We will have a training and testing center that can provide our team, customers and representatives with valuable information about our equipment. Plus, it is located in an industrial area that positions us for further expansion.” A Global Company A Denmark-based company that has been operating its U.S. division in McLean County since 2002, Kongskilde has seen some changes in the marketplace recently. In fact, Kongskilde North America sold its tillage, hay and fertilizer equipment divisions to CNH Global last February. A Renewed Focus Thornton commented on the positive side of this change. “Now we have a renewed focus on providing a complete line of pneumatic conveying, cleaning and separating equipment to the grain, plastic, paper and packaging industries in North America.” The new Kongskilde facility currently has 18 employees, who will provide sales and service to their customers in North America. The new facility will warehouse industry and grain equipment as well as a full complement of parts manufactured by Kongskilde, including pneumatic grain conveying systems, grain vacs and cleaners, airwash systems, as well as plastic and paper trim removal systems.
