It’s all go for LVretta!
Weston Handling Consultancy, (WHC), who design and manufacture the LVretta range of Reel and Roll Handling trucks are just about to launch a new more powerful Reel Truck, supply it to a new country and move to a new facility in another county! Phew!
The sudden explosion of growth for this northern business is seen because of the fantastic products and innovative approach to business that company Managing Director, Steve Weston has instilled into the business.
With over 35 years in the Paper, Plastics, Film & Foil, Printing, Packaging, and related Converting industries, Weston is uniquely placed to incorporate practical features when designing equipment for handling materials in these industries. So much so, that earlier this year, his designs beat many major Handling & Logistics companies, and were Highly Commended in the 2015, “Storage Handling & Distribution Logistics Awards” – Safety Award, held in London.
New, More Powerful Reel Handling Trucks – Being Exported!
The benefits of WHC’s LVretta Reel Handling trucks are becoming so recognised in the material handling industry that WHC have recently received an order to build two 2Tonne versions of their “LVretta” “LV” range of Reel Handling trucks from global company Yale Materials Handling.
Yale Materials Handling, (YMH), are one of the world’s oldest, original manufacturers of lift trucks and warehouse equipment and have been in the business for over 137 years.
Recently, a major US YMH dealer chose Weston Handling to supply their uniquely designed pedestrian operated Reel Trucks for their customer, a major American packaging company.
The first of the new designs to be put into service is the LVretta LV/E1000-HD model. This boasts a longer frame, greater stability and a full Traction Battery, which when combined with the built in charger, gives increased operating time and easy charging, anywhere! *
The second new design being built is the 2Tonne capacity, LV/E2000-HD model. Again, boasting a full Traction battery, but with a larger section mast, a reinforced body and more powerful drive wheels.
The new LV/E2000-HD Reel Truck will allow an operator to easily load/unload and transport heavy reels, without the need to use Forklift Trucks in congested production areas. Combined with Weston’s unique, Anti-Crush Kick-Plate, this can offer significant safety boosts to busy production plants!

NEW PREMISES
WHC has secured new premises in Yorkshire to support our UK expansion plans. Our new offices are located in Fieldhead Business Centre and Industrial Park. This is in a prominent position on Listerhills Road, which runs southwest from the city centre. The site is fronted by a local retail parade, with the city’s main shopping area an easy walk or bus ride away.
The site has excellent communications and is accessed via Preston Street, just off Listerhills Road, which links with Bradford’s outer ring road (A6177) from which the M606 and motorway network is easily accessed.
