Delta Edge™ Laser Technology is the perfect solution for tool-less precision multiple depth cutting in a single pass. The Delta Mod-Tech® converting system with Delta Edge™ laser technology gives businesses the flexibility to convert a variety of products on one converting system. The Delta Edge™, like most high technology products, is a synergy of design, engineering, software, and hardware, all integrated to work together. Incorporating a laser on a Delta Mod-Tech® converter is not uncommon. Many of these custom designed and engineered systems have a laser cutting station as well as one or two conventional semi-rotary or rotary cutting dies. This is another nod to flexibility because the two processes can work well in tandem and because some jobs require more cutting than either technology can provide on its own. Additionally, a longer run job may be better suited to a mechanical semi-rotary cut, which tends to offer a higher throughput speed, so a system with both capabilities provides more versatility. No matter the system configuration though, the laser’s big advantage shows up in less set-up time and substantially faster turnaround times between jobs. The Delta Edge™ module can cut a variety of cuts including perforation, kiss-cut and thru-cut.
