Highest BRC grade awarded to Qualvis

Qualvis FactoryPrint and packaging business, Qualvis Print and Packaging, has announced that it has retained its BRC high hygiene level certificate to the Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials for the manufacture of litho-printed cartons for food and non-food packaging applications.

The company achieved a ‘AA’ grading – the highest accolade awarded by the British Retail Consortium – making it one of only a handful of carton manufacturers to do so.

Retaining this certificate streamlines the supplier approval process and makes it is easier for food companies to meet the requirements of the BRC Food Standard while also helping retailers and food manufacturers to adhere to their legal obligations.

The standard specifies HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point), good manufacturing practices, plus the hygiene, safety and quality requirements for packaging manufacturers who supply the food and consumer products industries.

Qualvis’ managing director, Jason Short, said: “Gaining a ‘AA’ grade shows that we are resolute in delivering the highest possible standards in all that we do. It is vitally important for us to ensure that our processes and procedures meet the highest standards and achieving an ‘AA’ grading only serves to reinforce that commitment.”

A family owned print and packaging company, Qualvis Print and Packaging has focused on quality and established a reputation for superior products and exceptional service. Its cartons are used and trusted by some of the UK’s most well-known brands and are seen in various industries such as food, cosmetics, publishing and confectionary.
