Global Plastic Supply acquires United Converting Inc
StockPKG, a leading player in both manufacturing and supplying packaging across the globe, has acquired US plastic slitting company, United Converting Inc (UCI).
As a supplier of films and substrates, StockPKG seeks to enhance its ability to completely serve its customers throughout the entire manufacturing process and recently realised that United Converting Inc could be a key component in achieving that goal. The acquisition and integration of United Converting Inc was made official on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
With headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, and a strong national presence in the United States, StockPKG has experienced consistent growth since its inception in 2008. By increasing warehouse locations and bolstering relationships with key manufacturers, the company has been able to both expand their customer base and increase their service levels nationwide.
Procuring an experienced, high-quality company, such as UCI, who was once a contracted partner of StockPKG, allows for more control of the overall manufacturing process and strengthens the StockPKG commitment to efficiency and service.

President and Founder of StockPKG, Sean Rudner, remains equally excited about the union of the two companies; StockPKG plans to aggressively grow their business with a series of similar acquisitions and greenfield expansions.

Mr Rudner continues, “We purchased UCI because we felt they had good people with similar values, which fits nicely into the culture of StockPKG.”
As a major focus of the company, StockPKG also intends to ramp up production of its plastic films division with a knowledgeable, dedicated sales force, as well as a new website to highlight its wide variety of plastic films. Newly-acquired capabilities and experience from the UCI team will be a key component of the division for years to come.
