Fraser launches industry-first static elimination bar with automatic range control for OEMs at ICE Europe 2019

Leading static electricity control specialist Fraser Anti-Static Techniques will launch its innovative new static eliminator featuring PLC-controlled ionisation output at the ICE Europe tradeshow in Munich next month.

The NEOS 30 OEM is a long-range static eliminator designed specifically for OEMs. Ideally suited to winding machinery or converting applications, the new feature allows the optimum range of the static eliminator to be continually modified as its distance to the web changes. The output frequency of the bar is directly controlled through a simple interface with the customer’s existing PLC, without the need for additional sensors.

Configured to neutralise charges at a range of 200mm to 1,500mm, the NEOS 30 OEM is available in lengths between 600mm and 5,000mm.

Fraser Anti-Static Techniques CEO, Bruce Clothier, believes that “the NEOS 30 OEM is an ideal solution for applications such as re-winders where the distance between the electrostatically charged material and the static eliminator changes constantly. It will give machinery manufacturers, and indeed end users, more scope when optimising their process for output quality.

“We are leading the way with respect to 24 VDC technology and the NEOS 30 OEM perfectly augments our already broad portfolio of static eliminators.”

Fraser has been pioneering the use of 24 VDC technology in static elimination since 2009 when its Jupiter Bars were launched to the market. These products were joined by the market-leading 3024 Bars in 2011, followed in 2015 by the NEOS range.

Designed and developed to meet the increasing speeds and static electricity levels in industry, the unique sensing capability of the core NEOS technology enables automatic adjustment of the ionisation required to achieve optimum results.

Setting new standards in static neutralisation efficiency, the complete NEOS range comprises static eliminators for short, medium and long-range applications, and is capable of handling speeds of up to 1,500 m/minute.

The NEOS 30 OEM will be launched at the ICE Europe 2019 tradeshow in Munich from 12-14 March, where static control experts from Fraser and Iontis Elektrostatik will be available to demonstrate the new product on the stand.
