Xeikon and digital production

The overarching theme for Xeikon was ‘What’s next?’ referring to the technological challenges label converters are facing in today’s times. Xeikon presented its flagship Xeikon CX3 digital labelpress (aka cheetah) and showed its high opaque white fusion module for the first time in the Americas.

Fusion technology, virtually making it a digital combination press, was demonstrated at Labelexpo Europe 2015. Furthermore, there was also an entry production solution including a full colour digital press, Xeikon 3030 with inline converting based on laser die cut technology. On the advancements in the tags and carton market, Xeikon brought along its new FDU, a flatbed die cut solution for fast turnaround, low operational cost environments which was just launched at drupa.

Elsewhere, Flint Group was offering an interactive platform for its visitors at Labelexpo where they could bring their ideas and questions to the experts. By bringing industry co-suppliers together discussing packaging printing, expansion in UV LED, capabilities in shrink sleeve technology, and showcasing latest equipment innovations. Three sessions were held per day.

Flint Group provides one of the most comprehensive product ranges for the narrow web industry supporting the latest industry and market trends. However, Flint Group says it is about people; a global network of industry experts who are always on hand to answer your questions in real life.
