Flint Group acquires Continental Printing Inks and Eagle Ink Systems in South Africa

Flint Group has acquired the remaining shares in Continental Printing Inks and Eagle Ink Systems.

In September 2015, Flint Group Africa was formed through a partnership that combined two of the leading ink and coating suppliers in South Africa’s packaging and print media markets. As of October 24, 2017, Flint Group has become sole owner of the entity.

“The management of Flint Group is extremely pleased with the growth we have seen in South Africa since our partnership with Continental and Eagle Ink Systems, which started in late 2015. I credit this success to the employees of Continental, Eagle and Flint Group,” said Doug Aldred, president of Flint Group Packaging.

Aldred added, “Throughout the transition, our combined team of experts were dedicated to providing unmatched support to customers in the region. As a result of this collaboration, we have already realised new business opportunities and have expanded our position in South Africa.”

Flint Group Africa is one of the largest ink suppliers in South Africa with local manufacturing sites in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. With a strong emphasis on customer and technical service, Flint Group has been able to deliver value and quality to printers and converters throughout the region.
