Faerch Plast appoints business development managers

As part of a strategic plan to capitalise on growth opportunities within the cold food & snacks market Faerch Plast – one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of plastic packaging for the food industry – has appointed three business development managers.

Darren Percy is business development manager for the South and joins from Benson Box where he was national account manager. Prior to this he spent five years at Veriplast Solutions Ltd (now Paccor Group) as UK & Ireland sales manager. He has enjoyed roles at Swan Mill Paper Company, Ecolab, Dohler Group and JohnsonDiversey.

Richard Wild, responsible for generating new business in the North East, started his packaging sales career at LINPAC Packaging where he spent 13 years in various roles. Most recently he worked for SAICA Pack and Solo Cup Company.

Piyush Ladd’s remit covers the North West and he joins from Sealed Air Corporation where he was EMEA Account Manager. Before that, he spent almost eight years at LINPAC Packaging in various sales related roles.

“We are pleased to welcome Darren, Richard and Piyush to the UK sales team, all of whom bring fresh thinking as well as significant experience of the packaging industry,” comments managing director Joe Iannidinardo. “We look forward to them maximising opportunities within the cold food and snacks market which the business has identified as offering major growth potential.”

Faerch Plast has developed a wide range of innovative containers for a variety of cold food and snack products including bakery, dairy, vegetables, fruit and cold meats. The company offers packs with cutlery included, perforated snap packs for portion control and the recently launched resealable dispenser tray. Generally produced from PP or APET which is a glass clarity material for maximum on shelf impact, the containers are available with standard or hinged tops whilst others are suited to top sealing.
