Elitron’s newest software win “Best Print and Finishing Support Tool

The Commission of The European Digital Press Association (EDP) awarded Klick, Elitron’s newest software for “Best Print and Finishing Support Tool”. Elitron is once again on the podium for innovation.

Last month at Fespa in Munich, Elitron’s Klick software won the EDP Awards for “Best Print and Finishing Support Tool”.

Every year the European Digital Press Association, evaluates and judge’s digital production processes, awarding the EDP Award to the best product in terms of research and development.

Elitron received this prestigious recognition for Klick, the innovative software developed to automate the pre-printing process. This recognition once again clearly highlights Elitron’s investment and continued commitment to Research & Development.

The EDP Technical Committee recognised that Klick increases productivity and reduce costs. It’s no longer necessary to print over the entire print bed when printing textures. With Klick the print bed remains much cleaner, print times are greatly reduced and less ink is consumed. Furthermore, waste material is reduced too, as it’s possible to re-use otherwise waste material with Klick.

“We are proud that our innovative software is associated with this label of excellence – declared Giuseppe Gallucci CEO Elitron – as this represents yet again proof of the added value we continually strive to offer our customers.”

Klick is easy to use and is a real game changer for flatbed printing, as this software can be interfaced with printers to speed up the printing process:

Klick 1 recognises the perimeter of the material/s freely placed anywhere on the print bed, and the printer then only prints the design/texture within the perimeter of the material/s recognised.

  • No more printing over the whole print area.
  • No more waste of ink
  • Print time reduced.

Klick 2
Klick 2 recognises the perimeter of the material/s freely placed anywhere on the print bed and nests the shapes automatically or manually using video projection, within the perimeter of the material/s recognised. The shapes are then automatically paired up perfectly with the images to be printed.
The online nesting is then ready to be cut on any of Elitron’s cutting systems.
• Less waste material/s.
• Reuse of otherwise leftover material/s.
Klick 3
Klick 3 recognises the perimeter of the material/s and objects freely placed anywhere on the print bed and identifies the shapes to be printed. The shapes are then automatically paired up with the images to be printed.
• No matrix necessary for objects – just place object or material freely anywhere on the print bed.
In just a simple Klick this sophisticated software increases productivity, reduces costs and waste material.

Elitron is once more at the forefront in terms of innovation and automation, and brings another award back to Italy.
