EFIA receives record number of entries for 2017 Prints Awards & Gala Evening

The European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) has received a record number of entries to its annual print awards and over 500 confirmed attendees for the awards ceremony, according to EFIA executive director, Debbie Waldron-Hoines.

EFIA has said it is delighted with the response to its awards programme, which recognises and rewards outstanding operational efficiency, quality and innovation in the flexographic printing industry. The large turnout for this year’s event is set to create a nail-biting finish for entrants who’ve submitted entries to the wide range of print-related categories on offer.

The coveted awards will be presented to winners at the prestigious EFIA Industry Awards Gala Dinner, which will take place on March 16 at The Vox Conference Centre, Resorts World in Birmingham. Multi-talented comedian, singer and actor, Charlie Baker, will be the guest speaker at the event.

Waldron-Hoines commented: “We’re absolutely thrilled that so many industry professionals, including converters, suppliers and brands, have committed to showcasing their work at our 2017 awards. I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered.

“Publicly recognising winning and highly commended entries for their outstanding degree of flexographic printing excellence at our annual gala dinner is something we are very much looking forward to. With record attendance numbers recorded, it’s set to be our best event yet!”

Rallying the print and packaging industry to demonstrate a show of support is not something EFIA has confined to the EFIA Print Awards in 2017. The company has also teamed up with The Bobst Group to encourage the industry to get behind a charity assault course event on March 12 to raise money for DMRC Headley Court, a rehabilitation centre for injured servicemen and women.

It’s not too late to get involved. For information on the Adrenaline Jungle Assault course in aid of HMRC Headley Court, or to find out how to take part please contact Doris Morrison at Bobst on doris.morrison@bobst.com. To donate, please visit justgiving.com/crowdfunding/EFIAcharity
