Edale to showcase next generation FL-3 at this years Label Expo Europe
Taking up residence in Hall 7 (Stand 7M60), Edale will be running their next generation UV flexo FL-3 label and flexible packaging press every day throughout the four day show to simulate a real production environment, highlighting the machines focus on high productivity, low waste and super fast set up and changeover times.
With an industry focus on digital, Edale’s aim is to demonstrate a cost effective alternative and the company invite you to witness how economical their modern day flexopress really is. Reports of plates used, time to set up, a range of short and medium run lengths, consumables and volume of completed label and filmic jobs will be published at the end of each day, with a full report to follow post-expo.
James Boughton, MD of Edale, comments “The FL-3 provides the printer with the simplicity of a printing technology that he understands. The versatility, the fast changeovers, inline finishing, the smaller footprint of just one machine as well as the initial capital outlay being less, makes the Edale FL-3 flexopress a reliable and alternative option for those considering the move into digital”.
The Edale FL-3 has already been well received with numerous installations in the UK, Germany and Mexico, with more installations imminent. The FL-3 boasts dramatically short set up times (under 10 minutes), less than 20m of set up waste, and the capability of running up to 200m/min.
Alongside this, the FL-3 boasts UniPrint technology, a feature unique to Edale; with the machines print head geometry ensuring consistent quality, whatever the format size. Additional value added options such as screen and lamination are mounted above the press on an easy to manoeuvre rail system – the Label Expo model will have a turn bar and a cold foil unit.
The FL-3 also allows label printers the flexibility and scope to expand into new markets should customer demands change, with flexible packaging an option; the gearless impression cylinders allow for a wider substrate range from 30 – 450 micron, ideal for this type of application.
Edale will be exhibiting the next generation FL-3 on Stand 7M60
