Delta Industrial showcased the versatility of Delta Mod-Tech® at LabelExpo 2014 in Chicago by demonstrated 3 total manufacturing solutions:
LabelExpo offered a very high energy platform for the Delta Spectrum® Finishing System which featured Delta’s recently released hot foil stamping module. This system is especially unique in that the converter can diecut, laminate and hot foil stamp in one pass of the machine, saving time and materials and ultimately reducing product cost and time to market. Delta offers engineering expertise in developing and building manufacturing solutions for labels, tags, RFID, security and a variety of complex medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
The LabelExpo crowd was intrigued by the fully contained portable laser the Delta flexEDGE™ Laser System offers the ultimate in laser flexibility featuring a complete laser cutting system with on-board chilling, ventilation and controls. The module can be moved from one converting system to another throughout your manufacturing facility. This laser module was designed to take the place of a die station and is compatible with a rotary converting or digital print finishing system. It can also be used for process setup or R&D. The integrated chiller and ventilation system is fully enclosed in the heavy duty cabinet along with its own Delta HMI. The entire unit is mounted on casters making it portable.
Beyond label finishing – Delta Industrial participated in the Package Printing Workshop
This special section at LabelExpo Americas was dedicated to exploring new ideas and to educating the audience on ways to diversify and grow their business. The crowd was very interested as Jason Newville, a Delta design engineer, demonstrated a medical converting and heat seal packaging solution. This custom designed system is a testament to Delta’s modular designs and integration capabilities. This process demonstration showcased Delta’s servo driven registration and re-registration technology. The system includes a closed-loop vision verification process to ensure accuracy. In addition, Delta participated in daily presentations which will discussed opportunities and solutions for expanding from the label and tag to the medical, pharmaceutical and security markets.
