Comexi, a specialist providing flexible packaging industry solutions, and the Mexican industry Folmex extend their strategic partnership. Both companies closed an agreement at drupa for the delivery of a Comexi F4 printing press.

This will be the seventh flexo press from the Girona (Spain)-based supplier to Folmex, strengthening its long business relationship.

The Comexi F4 flexo press is one of the most efficient solutions for flexographic printing short-run with its 720 to 920 millimetres wide and a 600 millimetres maximum format. This press was the first to incorporate FLEXOEfficiency patented concepts, with ergonomics and accessibility as well as performance and robustness, which already characterise the whole range F2 and the newest Comexi F1.

Among other features, the Comexi F4 has pipe-less magnetic blades, patented by Comexi, allowing the printing unit to change in less than one minute. The press also has features with high added value and improved printing quality provided exclusively by the company. The machine also has other technical elements to minimise strip wear.

In addition, Comexi F4 incorporates the Direct Drive system to synchronise the central drum and the mandrels. This process is possible through encoders mounted directly on the axis, improving the reading accuracy and print register. It has also been reinforced by a core anilox of 152 centimetres in diameter.

With the Comexi F4 maintenance is easier and more accessible. For example, the platform incorporates an easy-opening system to clean the central drum and it is possible to disassemble the drying screens from the side for cleaning. It is also a user-friendly machine, for example, the control panel located strategically makes easier the printing process elements control.

Comexi F4 is able to print eight colours with different formats from 240 to 600 millimetres, widths up to 920 millimetres and a speed of 300 metres/minute.
