Drupa ComexiComexi, a specialist company in machinery solutions for the flexible packaging conversion industry, will showcase its most ambitious innovations at the next edition of the drupa fair, the most important in the sector, which will be held from May 31 to June 10 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

At its stand Hall10/B20, the Comexi group will showcase new technologies for its three printing lines: flexography, rotogravure and offset. The main novelty will be the presentation of a new flexography printing press that will allow greater automation in the printing process.

The new machine is a development of the previous FI, Comexi’s large format printing press. The director of marketing and the Comexi Technological Centre, David Centelles, has highlighted that, with this new press, “we offer our clients top level solutions by supporting a high performance technology, which also confirms our position as an important reference in the flexible packaging printing market”.

Comexi also supports automating its offset technology. Following the 2012 drupa fair where it showcased its printing press solution with a central drum, this year it will reveal its new automation system for its well-known CI8 Offset printing press, before a world audience.

Drupa ComexiThe company is also set to showcase a new printer body for rotogravure printing presses, which will enable top quality tasks. The R2 printing press is the latest new Comexi addition to the rotogravure sector, and includes leading edge technology in terms of machine control or in direct driving systems to increase efficiency, as well as Simotion by Siemens, which increases energy savings regarding machine consumption.

Also, at Drupa, Comexi will also be exhibiting at the HP stand, with its L20000, the water-based laminating machine specially designed to complement the digital HP printer Indigo 20000, running demos with this new machine.

As well as this, the company will show its commitment to strengthening ties with its clients and supporting their company development, by presenting a production control tool that will help them improve plant efficiency. The new application also shows Comexi’s commitment to driving technology and spearheading the implementation of smart factories, known as industry 4.0.

As a world supplier, Comexi’s broad experience has proved its in-depth knowledge and ability to offer solutions for the flexible packaging conversion industry, as well as introducing technologies in printing, laminating and cutting, and also to support company development.
