Argotec opens office in Germany

Argotec LLC of Greenfield, Massachusetts USA, a leading producer of high performance thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film and sheet for the worldwide specialty films industry has opened its first international office in Hamburg, Germany. Heading up Argotec Deutschland is Soenke Laubach, commercial director Europe who joined the company 1 January 2014. Laubach has responsibility for the development of new business throughout Europe with primary focus on surface protection, graphics and medical applications for Argotec’s aliphatic and aromatic TPU film products. He has direct sales responsibility for Germany and select corporate accounts and will provide sales support and territory oversight for the rest of Europe that is covered by the company’s technical sales representative Burg LeMonte, director of Polymar bvba based in Antwerp, Belgium. “Establishing an office in Hamburg is part of Argotec’s overall strategy to grow our business globally while helping our international customers to prosper,” comments president and CEO Guy Broadbent. “We now have the right person in place to assist in achieving those goals.” A graduate mechanical engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) specialising in thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics and elastomers Laubach comes to Argotec with significant experience in the films, tapes and adhesive coating industries. His background working with adhesive coaters, converters and OEMs to develop new applications in the automotive, aerospace and industrial markets will complement his new responsibilities at Argotec.
