API’s latest holographic foils on show at Packaging Innovations

API at Packaging Innovations API is taking its new brand enhancement creative service and holographic foils to Packaging Innovations in London this September – a sign of its continuing focus on delivering products and services to empower brands.

David Peters, creative development manager at API, and members of the API team will be on stand A34 to highlight the latest techniques and product examples, and explain how API works with its customers to assist them in finding the ideal pack enhancement effects that add value to their brands.

API is leading the way with its creative development of holographic and other highly visual optical foil solutions, as seen in its custom decorative holography service – Holonique Boutique. The service offers the company’s specialised knowledge in the use of holography and 3D designs, and exemplifies how, as an integral part of the product pack design, they can add the extra dimension to brands across the food, drinks, personal care and beauty sectors.

API’s stand will feature the latest high impact technologies, including the Fresnel Lens PET Laminate, which delivers real impact by combining the depth and kinetic focus of a lens with print pack and design. Offering unparalleled depth and movement, Fresnel micro structures provide an optically correct lens which both transmits and reflects the light. Even in their plain, unprinted form, the structures invite users to engage and touch the pack, and users inevitably run their hands over its surface to confirm that it is indeed perfectly flat, making it a perfect solution for luxury brands.

Also on display will be API’s latest TA foil range, its most comprehensive cold foil for labels to date. TA provides fine detail, down to a three-point font, together with the capability to cover large solid areas and achieve high-quality gloss effects for text and graphics. Available in nine shades, TA foil is the result of three years research and development by API, offering versatility to meet the demands of printers and designers across the variety of machines and substrates in the market.

“Packaging Innovations is the ideal place for us to showcase our creative service alongside trend boards that have relevance for a wide variety of products and brands,” commented David Peters. “We are welcoming all designers, printers and brand owners to come to our stand and see our portfolio of foil, laminate and holographic solutions – and learn how, together with the latest trends, they can deliver exceptional brand enhancement and real on shelf impact for their products.”
